Lake Nakuru National Park
-
Kenya's first rhino sanctuary was created immediately after rhinos were listed as an endangered species. There are several of them in the park, which is also teeming with pink flamingos. The park's major attraction is the greater and lesser flamingos, who congregate at the lake shoes to feed on blue-green algae and create pink clouds in the distance.
Wildlife
The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, but its main draws are the greater and lesser flamingos and other water birds. The ecology supports over 450 kinds of terrestrial birds and 56 distinct animal species, including buffaloes and white rhinos.
This area is home to a variety of wildlife, including the Rothschild's giraffe, rock hyrax, Colobus monkey, hippo, leopard, lion, waterbuck, striped hyena, golden cat, Thomson's and Grant gazelle, and hippo. The tiny size and high wildlife density of Lake Nakuru National Park are two of its distinctive features. As a result, seeing animals on the safari path is straightforward; lions are easy to spot, and leopards are quite likely to be spotted.
