7 Days Scenic Plains
DAY 1: NAIROBI TO OLPEJETA CONSERVANCY
- Depart from Nairobi at 7.30 am to Olpejeta Conservancy (approximately 3-4 hours).
- Drive through an exciting road trip and arrive at the camp/lodge for lunch. Proceed to an afternoon game drive in the conservancy (famous for hosting the last of the White Rhino species).
- Return to camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: OLPEJETA CONSERVANCY FUll DAY
- Indulge in a hearty breakfast at the camp/lodge and proceed for a morning game drive.
- Visit the rhino sanctuary, Olpejeta’s haven for rehabilitating the black and white rhino.
- Return to the camp for lunch and refreshments. In the afternoon, head out to the famous Chimpanzee Sanctuary; a home for these primates and learn about their breeding and habitat.
- Return for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: OLPEJETA CONSERVANCY TO LAKE NAIVASHA
- Enjoy an early breakfast at the camp/lodge and check out.
- Proceed to Lake Naivasha (approximately 5 hrs. drive from Olpejeta Conservancy).
- Arrive at the lodge in Lake Naivasha for a sumptuous lunch . Head out for an adventurous walking safari at the Crescent Island and engage in exciting boat safaris at the shores of Lake Naivasha.
- Return for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: LAKE NAIVASHA TO MASAI MARA
- Delight in an early breakfast and check out.
- Proceed to Maasai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5-6 hrs drive from Lake Naivasha). Arrive in time for an enlivening lunch and check in at the camp/lodge in Masai mara. Head out for an afternoon game drive in the phenomenal grass plain, host to diverse wildlife.
- Return for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5-6: MASAI MARA GAME DRIVES
- Have an early breakfast treat at the camp/lodge.
- Proceed for an exciting full day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Thrill in the expedition of the African Big Five under the open roof of our tour vehicle and enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild savannah. Stop by the Mara River where the 8th Wonder of the World happens annually from July-August.
- Return for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: MASAI MARA BACK TO NAIROBI
- Have an early breakfast and checkout.
- Enjoy enroute game drives as you exit the park. (alternative option available of visiting the Maasai Cultural Village at $20 per person).
- Return to Nairobi with a stop over for lunch.
